Sangoma Launches PBXact Unified Communications Solutions

Full featured business communication systems operational in less than 10 minutes

MARKHAM, ONTARIO–(Marketwired – April 28, 2016) – Sangoma Technologies Corporation (TSX VENTURE: STC), a leading provider of hardware and software solutions that enable or enhance IP communications systems for both voice and data, announced today the launch of PBXact UC, a set of fully-featured, premise based unified communications systems for the SMB and the Enterprise.

PBXact UC is a VoIP based system offering not only core PBX functionality, but also a broad set of advanced features such as web Conferencing/Collaboration, Mobility/Remote user integration, CRM/Help Desk integration, built in Fax-over-IP Service and powerful IVR and Contact Center capabilities.

For ease of management and configuration, the system offers a guided installation wizard and a simplified web GUI that delivers complete working systems in just a few minutes.

PBXact UC also includes all the tools necessary to elegantly integrate Sangoma’s line of IP Phones, featuring Zero-Touch Provisioning (which gets Sangoma phones operating automatically via Redirection/Auto-configuration Servers) and free access to Phone Apps (a set of advanced business features enabled by simple browsing on the phone color screen).

“IP-PBX deployments have always been a tedious task for the system administrator and confusing for the staff who are receiving new phones”, says Bill Wignall, Chief Executive Officer of Sangoma Technologies.”That’s because PBX/phone installation has typically required a cumbersome, often manual approach, which PBXact UC now eliminates entirely, saving many hours of frustrating, error-prone work”.

Designed for all business sizes in mind, PBXact UC is offered in 5 different hardware-based platforms, ranging from as low as 10 users with the PBXact UC10, right up to sizes of 1000-5000 users. For mission critical operations, a high availability cluster option is also available.

“PBXact UC and Sangoma’s line of IP Phones deliver a great feature set for an amazing value for our customer base”, says Mike White, Founder of .e4, a Platinum Reseller and Integration Partner of Sangoma. “Combining the introduction of Sangoma’s PBXact and IP Phones with gateways, session border controllers and telecom interface cards allows us to provide complete solutions to our enterprise customers from a single and trusted manufacturer”.
