William J. Wignall, President and Chief Executive Officer
As President and CEO, Bill leads the company in the execution of its growth strategy. His deep operational and strategic skills are a major asset to the corporation. He brings to Sangoma his personal style of working closely with existing customers and valued channel partners. Under Bill’s leadership, Sangoma is dramatically expanding its product portfolio and targeting new markets and territories to further accelerate growth.
As a technology industry veteran, Mr. Wignall most recently held the role of President and CEO at Truition Inc., a developer and marketer of e-Commerce software. Prior to that, he was President and CEO of Electronics Workbench – a supplier of design, development and simulation software for electronics engineering – where he guided the company through an aggressive growth and rebranding phase that culminated in the sale of the company to National Instruments. Bill has served in senior management roles throughout his career at companies ranging in size from start-ups to Northern Telecom, BNI and Telezone.
As the President of VoIP Innovations, Sebastian Kiely manages the day to day operations of the organization and establishes the overall vision and strategic plan. Twenty years of telecom expertise and a network engineering background give him a unique technical perspective in an ever-changing landscape. Sebastian previously served as CRO for VoIP Innovations.
Before joining VoIP Innovations, Sebastian served as the President of GlobalPOPs, Inc., a wholesale dialup company. During this time he and his team were able to establish the company as the leader in the dialup space, gain the vast majority of dialup traffic in the US, and establish long-term lucrative partnerships with all major retail players. Leading up to this role, Sebastian held numerous positions within GlobalPOPs in the Product and Engineering departments that contributed to the longevity and success of the organization.
Sebastian holds a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from John Carroll University with a primary focus on Logic and Ethics.
Patrick brings more than 20 years of experience in telecommunications to his position as Chief Revenue Officer at Sangoma, where he is responsible for leading all revenue generating and customer facing activities.
Prior to Sangoma, Patrick held the position of Managing Director for Enghouse Networks Americas division, where he focused on revenue growth and acquisition integration. Patrick has also held various senior roles at Aastra Technologies, including Vice President of Operations, where he was instrumental in the growth and success of the company expanding it from a small regional telecom hardware manufacture to a global unified communications solution provider which merged with Mitel Networks in 2014.
As CFO, David Moore handles Finance, Human Resources and Investor Relations. He brings extensive corporate finance, operations management and accounting experience to the Sangoma management team.
David is a Certified Management Accountant with 25 years of experience in both public and private companies within the technology sector. Most recently, he was CFO at Truition Inc., a developer and marketer of e-Commerce software, and before that CFO of Fifty-Plus International Inc., a TSX-V company now trading as Zoomer Media Inc. He has extensive international experience in Europe and North America and in the past held executive positions at Nortel Networks.
John Tobia is responsible for developing and executing Sangoma’s M&A strategy as well as oversight of Sangoma’s global legal affairs and human resources. Prior to Sangoma, John had senior roles at various other growth-oriented public companies, including being the Vice President and General Counsel of Aastra Technologies Limited for 14 years, culminating with its merger with Mitel Networks in 2014.
John has a BASC and MASC (both in Electrical Engineering) from the University of Toronto and an LLB from Osgoode Hall Law School.
Charlie Wilson joined Sangoma after its purchase of Digium in September 2018. As SVP of Engineering and Operations, Charlie is responsible for overseeing the research and development of Sangoma products, which includes software and hardware development as well as QA. He is also responsible for Sangoma’s manufacturing operations including supply chain and logistics management.
Charlie brings over 25 years of experience in the telecommunication and technology industries. During his 11 years with Digium, Charlie held the roles of Director of Engineering and Product as well as General Manager of the Respoke CPaaS startup. Prior to Digium, Charlie held management positions at ADTRAN, responsible for the development of telecommunication products for enterprise customers. Charlie holds a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering from Auburn University, an MBA from the University of Alabama, and multiple patents related to the design of telecommunication equipment.
