Doug Vilim
VP of Sales, Sangoma Technologies Inc.

Doug is Vice President of Sales for Sangoma Technologies, the premium provider of PC-based telephony hardware and software products for proprietary and open source based networking and telephony solutions. In this role he is responsible for leading Sangoma’s sales and business development strategies to embrace open source and closed sourced communication projects around the world. During his tenure, revenue has grown five-fold, the customer base has expanded to every continent around the world, and Sangoma has become a global supplier to major telecom equipment manufacturers around the world.
Doug has been immersed in open source and proprietary telecom projects all over the world for the past 10 years. He speaks frequently at conferences about the benefits and downsides of the open source model, proprietary model, and attaining the best of both- the hybrid model.
Prior to joining Sangoma, Doug held sales management roles at Eicon Networks, now Dialogic, as well as 10 years in pre-sales technical and sales management roles at NEC and Compaq.
Doug’s technical background allows him to bridge the gap between sales and engineering. Doug is a graduate of Seneca College Electronic Engineering in Toronto and an Honors Graduate of Lakehead University in Thunder Bay, Ontario.
Nenad Corbic
VP of Software Engineering, Sangoma Technologies Inc.

Nenad Corbic is the Chief Software Engineer of Sangoma Technologies Inc., the premium provider of PC-based telephony hardware and software products for proprietary and open source based networking and telephony solutions. In this role, Nenad plays an instrumental part in developing and designing the new line of Sangoma drivers, WAN and TDM protocol stacks, and APIs.
As an active Linux kernel maintainer of Linux WAN /WANPIPE drivers, Nenad has frequently submitted patches into the Linux source. He is currently managing and developing numerous open source telephony projects targeted to bridge the gap between OS projects and products. His latest projects include optimizing and expanding TDM architectures and developing high-availability Open Source VoIP/TDM switches.
Nenad is a pioneer in connectivity hardware and software products for telephony , Wide Area Networks, and the Internet.
Previously, Nenad was a software engineer in the telephony division of Nortel Networks, working on DMS and XA-Core switches.
Nenad holds an Honours degree in Computer Engineering from Ryerson University, Toronto.
Frederic Dickey
Director of Product Management

Frederic Dickey is General Manager for UK operations and in charge of Product Management at Sangoma. Prior to Sangoma, he was at Paraxip – acquired by Sangoma in July 2008 – to lead Marketing and Business Development efforts.
Prior to joining Paraxip, Frederic was General Manager at Kallastra Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Octasic Semiconductors. In his role at Kallastra, Frederic gained significant experience in worldwide Sales and Marketing (including Europe and Asia) while managing operations.
Prior to Kallastra, Frederic spent 4 years at NMS Communications as a Product Management Director with responsibility for product lines generating significant revenues annually. Before NMS Communications, Frederic held several Sales Engineering and Project Management roles at both Lucent Technologies and Nortel Networks. Frederic brings, with its 20+ years of experience in the telecommunications industry, a comprehensive technical and business background to Sangoma Technologies.
Frederic holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Honours) from McGill University in Montreal.

Jeff Dworkin
Director of Marketing

Jeff Dworkin, Director of Marketing at Sangoma Technologies, is responsible for the development and execution of the company’s overall marketing vision, including all strategies, campaigns and programs. Jeff is a well-recognized expert in the field of VoIP technology and has regularly been invited to speak at telecom industry events on subjects including open source development, VoIP technology, and the evolution of the telecom landscape over the past 25 years.
Jeff launched his career in the VoIP field nearly 25 years ago as an IVR developer. He has a degree in Industrial Engineering and an extensive background in the technical, product-based and marketing-related aspects of the telecommunications discipline. A subject-matter expert on an array of IP-related topics, he has presented sessions on issues such as TDM-to-IP migration strategies, Open Source telephony, business enabled communication processes, interactive voice response system design, fax-over-IP, transcoding, video conferencing, and network interoperability.
Prior to Sangoma, Jeff served as Enterprise Marketing Manager for Dialogic Corporation, where he was responsible for creating and implementing the market strategies of Open Source, fax, fax-over-IP and IVVR sectors. He is the founder of iFace.com (Interface Alternative), an IP technology company that was eventual acquired by Rare Medium (Nasdaq:RRRR). He has also has held management positions at a number of other technology companies throughout his career.

Moisés Silva
Senior Software Engineer/Manager of Software Development

Moises is an open source developer and enthusiast. He is the author of the openr2 library, used by the Asterisk PBX for MFC-R2 signaling support. He currently works as an engineering manager for Sangoma Technologies where he takes care of leading the development efforts of several projects involving kernel drivers, TDM and VoIP protocols. He is also an active developer member of open source telephony projects such as FreeSWITCH and Asterisk and has a deep understanding of the architecture internals of these projects as well as their strengths and weaknesses.
Moises holds a Bachelor of Electronics and Communications degree from the Universidad de Guadalajara and loves to talk about open source telephony and Linux.
