EmergeCore Networks Selects Sangoma Technologies' New
Advanced Flexible Telecommunication Cards To Equip Its
'It In A Box' Appliance

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - Jul 13, 2004) -

Sangoma's A101 enables easy integration and deployment of network
appliances

With over 20 years of engineering and technical expertise,
Sangoma Technologies Corporation (TSXV: STC) (www.sangoma.com), a
leading provider of connectivity hardware and software products
for WANs and Internet infrastructure, has been selected by
EmergeCore Networks (www.emergecore.com) of Boise, Idaho to
integrate Sangoma's new Advanced Flexible Telecommunications
(AFT) series of PCI WAN cards into its IT-500, 'IT IN A BOX(R)'
platform appliances.

The AFT A101 T1/E1 cards and utilities were specifically designed
and modified to be the only AFT card that will work in the IT-500
to add Internet connectivity to EmergeCore's IT IN A BOX(R)
concept for small and medium sized businesses. The IT-500
integrates a 15 port-switch, WAN router, wireless hub and fully
configured application server in one low cost platform.

"Sangoma's AFT WAN series are expected to be key components in
our engineering and business success," says Dave Brown,
EmergeCore president and CEO. "One of the core offerings for the
IT-500 is integrated T1/E1 connectivity. Sangoma's A101 PCI cards
fit the bill very nicely. We have had great success embedding
Sangoma's AFT cards into our product line due in large part to
the superiority of their products as well as the quality of their
drivers."

EmergeCore's IT-500, based on the award-winning IT IN A BOX(R)
solution, provides solution provides businesses with a tightly
integrated e-mail server, firewall, file server, FTP server,
proxy server, DHCP server, NAT server, web server and CRM server
with the ability to host multiple domains, complete with
integrated graphical web statistics per domain. The appliances,
including the Sangoma cards, will begin shipping in late July.

"The A101 allows us to offer a new price/performance standard
that none of our competitors can match," says Sangoma
Technologies president and CEO David Mandelstam. "The card's 2U
form factor and low power requirements make it ideal for OEM
Internet Server applications like EmergeCore's appliance."

The AFT range of PCI cards is based on programmable hardware
technology that uses Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs) to
efficiently handle the line protocols in hardware. New
self-configuring drivers for the A101 automate the process of
line and protocol set-up.

"This streamlined solution enables SMBs to cut costs, reduce
storage space and maintenance costs as well as improve
performance and reliability," adds Mandelstam. "Having a leading
organization in the appliance space like EmergeCore select our
cards is a tribute to the reliability and quality of our
solution."

"Because SMB customers are predominantly small and are budget
conscious, they have to seek cost-effective solutions that are
easy to maintain, requiring little technical management and a low
cost of ownership," says Brown. "To meet these requirements, in
partnership with Sangoma, we continue to investigate new ways of
building solutions that can save our customers money and make
their lives easier."

Sangoma Technologies' current solution set includes:

- High performance and reliable communications modules for OEM
projects involving ATM, Frame Relay, X.25, SS7, HDLC, BiSync and
other protocols

- WANPIPE(R) internal IP routing and voice solutions over T1, E1,
ADSL and serial links

- The WAN Edukit(TM) protocol teaching tool for educational
institutions

- POS (Point-of-Sale) interface cards for security and customer
loyalty applications
