William J. Wignall, President and Chief Executive Officer

As President and CEO, Bill leads the company in the execution of its growth strategy. His deep operational and strategic skills area major assets to the corporation. He brings to Sangoma his personal style of working closely with existing customers and valued channel partners. Under Bill’s leadership, Sangoma is dramatically expanding its product portfolio and targeting new markets and territories to further accelerate growth.

As a technology industry veteran, Mr. Wignall most recently held the role of President and CEO at Truition Inc., a developer and marketer of e-Commerce software. Prior to that, he was President and CEO of Electronics Workbench – a supplier of design, development and simulation software for electronics engineering – where he guided the company through an aggressive growth and rebranding phase that culminated in the sale of the company to National Instruments. Bill has served in senior management roles throughout his career at companies ranging in size from start-ups to Northern Telecom, BNI and Telezone.

David S. Moore, Chief Financial Officer

As CFO, David will handle Finance, Human Resources, Investor Relations, Administration and Logistics. He brings extensive corporate finance, operations management and accounting experience to the Sangoma management team.

David is a Certified Management Accountant with 25 years of experience in both public and private companies within the technology sector. Most recently he was CFO at Truition Inc. a developer and marketer of e-Commerce software and before that CFO of Fifty-Plus International Inc. a TSX-V company now trading as Zoomer Media Inc. He has extensive international experience in Europe and North America and in the past held executive positions at Nortel Networks.

Nenad Corbic, VP of Software Engineering

Nenad Corbic , VP of Software Engineering at Sangoma Technologies Inc., is responsible for setting the technical direction for the next generation of Sangoma communication and connectivity products, including VoIP, SIP, TDM and IP to IP communications.  He oversees research and development of all Sangoma products that range from PC-based telephony interface boards to embedded VoIP gateways to  telco grade solutions for VoIP/TDM, Session Border Controllers and Video, as well as cloud solutions for monitoring and management of VoIP/Telephony peripherals and networks.

Nenad is an industry veteran with 12+ years of VoIP, TDM  and Networking experience.  He is passionate about open source an open source technologies and continues to develop for on open source frameworks such as Asterisk and FreeSWITCH.  Nenad is also a 10+ year veteran of Linux kernel development and has been principal developer maintainer of Sangoma’s Wanpipe kernel suite of drivers, TDM and Networking protocols.  Previously, Nenad was a software engineer in the telephony division of Nortel Networks, working on DMS and XA-Core products. Nenad holds an Honours degree in Computer Engineering from Ryerson University, Toronto.

Doug Vilim, VP of Sales

Doug is Vice President of Sales for Sangoma Technologies Inc., the premium provider of PC-based telephony hardware and software products for proprietary and open source based networking and telephony solutions. In this role he is responsible for leading Sangoma’s sales and business development strategies to embrace open source and closed sourced communication projects around the world. During his tenure, revenue has grown over 400%, the customer base has expanded to every continent around the world, and Sangoma has become a global supplier to several major PBX manufacturers.

Prior to joining Sangoma, Doug’s most notable stints were in sales and marketing roles at Eicon Networks, now Dialogic, as well as 10 years in pre-sales technical and sales roles at NEC and Compaq.

Doug’s technical background allows him to bridge the gap between sales and engineering. Doug is a graduate of Seneca College Electronic Engineering in Toronto and an Honors Graduate of Lakehead University in Thunder Bay, Ontario.

Doug spends his free time with his wife and four busy children. They share his passion for skiing, hockey, and power boating at his cottage in Muskoka.

Mark Wagner, VP of Carrier and UC Sales for North America and Europe

Mark Wagner is the VP of Carrier and UC Sales for North America and Europe and he is focused on the continued expansion of Sangoma’s carrier, SIP trunk service provider and unified communications markets. With over 25 years of experience in the technology sector, Mark is expected to help grow Sangoma’s carrier and UC business in the key markets of North America and EMEA. During his career, Mark has held a variety of senior executive and sales leadership positions, consistently growing revenue in a very dramatic way. Mark joins Sangoma from his most recent role with N.E.T., now Sonus, where he was one of their key sales leaders, and prior to that held executive positions with Magellan Networks Systems, SHS Communications, ALLSwitch Inc., and Simplified Telesys.

Yuri Luskind, VP of Hardware Engineering

Yuri Luskind is a seasoned professional with over 25 years of senior management experience in the networking and telecommunications industry. Prior to joining Sangoma Technologies Inc., Yuri was Engineering Director at Ruggedcom, a smart-grid and industrial communication company, where he led the development of the product lines that resulted in the company acquisition by Siemens. Prior to that, Yuri held senior engineering and management roles at a number of public and start-up companies, including Mitel, Fore Systems, Opvista and Marconi Communications. Yuri holds a number of patents and has extensive experience in switching, wireless and optical transport technologies.

Yuri is a licensed Professional Engineer of Ontario. He holds an MS in electrical engineering from Moscow University (MIIT) and MBA from Queen’s University, Kingston, Canada.

Simon Horton, Director of Product Management

Simon Horton is the General Manager for UK operations and in charge of Product Management at Sangoma, where he is responsible for managing customer requirements and bringing new products to market. Prior to Sangoma, he was VP Product Management and Engineering at VegaStream, a leading UK-based developer of VoIP gateway appliances, which was recently acquired by Sangoma in August 2011. Before joining VegaStream, Simon was at Nortel Networks working in a variety of technical and customer facing roles.

With over 14 years of experience in the industry, Simon brings with him a wealth of experience in delivering customer requirements. Simon holds a M’Eng from Loughborough University in Electronics and Electrical Engineering.

Frederic Dickey, Director of Professional Services

Frederic Dickey is the Director of Professional Services at Sangoma. Prior to Sangoma, he was at Paraxip – acquired by Sangoma in July 2008 – to lead Marketing and Business Development efforts.

Prior to joining Paraxip, Frederic was General Manager at Kallastra Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Octasic Semiconductors. In his role at Kallastra, Frederic gained significant experience in worldwide Sales and Marketing (including Europe and Asia) while managing operations.

Prior to Kallastra, Frederic spent 4 years at NMS Communications as a Product Management Director with responsibility for product lines generating significant revenues annually. Before NMS Communications, Frederic held several Sales Engineering and Project Management roles at both Lucent Technologies and Nortel Networks. Frederic brings, with its 20+ years of experience in the telecommunications industry, a comprehensive technical and business background to Sangoma Technologies.

Frederic holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Honours) from McGill University in Montreal.

Jeff Dworkin, Director of Marketing

Jeff Dworkin joins Sangoma as Director of Marketing. He most recently came from Dialogic, where, as Enterprise Marketing Manager he was responsible for creating and managing market strategy for Dialogic’s Open Source, Fax, Fax-Over-IP and IVVR Markets. Prior to Dialogic, Jeff held the positions of VP Products and Director of Business Development at other technology firms.

Jeff has an exceptionally strong track record of delivering growth in a variety of environments, using both traditional and social marketing techniques. He will contribute significantly to the Sangoma customer and channel partner success, and he will help drive the continued growth of Sangoma as the newest member of the revitalized management team.

Jeff is a strong marketing leader for technical products, a highly respected voice in the industry, and one of the few people who really understands both proprietary technologies, as well as Open Source.
