Founded in 2004 by advanced technology and telephony professionals, Realvox is a trailblazer in business solutions for Spain and Latin America. The company began as a consultancy with deployment and integration services as its core competency, but quickly moved as a leading player in a large and growing marketplace.
Realvox is now competing with the "big" brands to serve large accounts in Spain and Latin America. Its competitive strategy is simple: Realvox decided to focus on its high quality, better-featured, lower cost and exceptional 24-7 real-time service-all of which the "big" brands lack. For instance, last year it launched the Voxalis PBX, which rounded out its new line of SME products, including IVR, PABX, and UM. The Challenge
Realvox's challenge was to customize an IVR system for a financial services-based client. Being a leader in the financial transactions sector-providing financial transactions in the Telco market with several locations across Latin America-this financial customer required reliability, security, speed, and 24-7 support. With traffic almost doubling every six to eight months, Realvox had to design a new system to handle 10 million calls per month.
The Solution
Realvox's customer had a unique requirement - the solution needed to grow with them. After testing most of the hardware manufacturers in the market, Realvox decided to use Sangoma cards, as the test results supported the company's reputation for innovative design and engineering quality. By coupling 16 E1 cards into the same chassis, Realvox was able to manage high-density integration and DSPs, while keeping the entire system under control.

Even though there were early implementation challenges, it was quickly controlled.

The Result
The entire solution was implemented in six weeks, including the connection with the operational host. With 960 lines in two servers (16 E1 each), the system is unified and scalable. Working in Load Balancing mode, the system is processing over 3.5 million calls every month. Best of all, Realvox and its customers systems can grow to over 10 million calls just by adding new servers. This is very important to compete in the marketplace, especially with the "big" brands.
